Volunteers built the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and volunteers keep it alive and flourishing today. Volunteer programs appeal to people with diverse talents, interests and experience levels.

Opportunity Description: 
2 Park Host - May 15, 2010 through September 8, 2010. Serve as a volunteer park host at Elm Brook Park, collecting user fees and providing information to visitors. The park offers a ranger station with interpretive exhibits, picnic tables, and grills. Also playground equipment, horseshoe pits, a swim beach, a short nature trail, boat ramp and four picnic shelters that can be reserved in advance for a fee. A campsite with hookups will be provided.
