Opportunity Description:
Augustus Saint-Gaudens was America's foremost sculptor of the 19th century. He left an indelible mark on many Civil War statues, bas-reliefs and designed in 1907 our most beautiful coins, the $10 and $20 gold pieces. His home and studio in Cornish, NH became the first national historic site dedicated to a visual artist.

The Interpretive Tour Guide volunteer is an important part of the visitor's understanding of Saint-Gaudens and his tremendous influence on American art and sculpture. The volunteer assists the park's intrepretive staff with a variety of tasks including guiding visitors through Saint-Gaudens' home with its original furniture and answering visitors' questions concerning park, area history, and the Cornish Colony. Volunteers may also intrepret the artwork, gardens or nature trails.

The park is open May 29 through October 31.
