Description: We will continue our work on the connector trail between the Quemazon and Perimeter Trails by installing needed rock steps on the north side of the canyon. This new trail was built with Boy Scout power and is a VERY exciting addition to the system of trails surrounding the Los Alamos community! Be sure to come prepared by wearing long pants, long sleeves, leather work gloves, above-ankle boots, and safety glasses. Bring a backpack with water and lunch. Limit 10 volunteers for this project. Description: The Friends of Santee’s River Park and the San Diego River Park Foundation are seeking volunteers to donate a few hours of their time to help the Community of Santee and the San Diego River be clean and healthy. Our River Scouting Teams have identified several trash and former camp sites that need to be removed before the Winter rain washes it into the river. If you believe in clean water and healthy park space, please join us. We will provide all tools and supplies. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them. Be sure to dress in sturdy clothes. Closed shoes are required. Volunteers will meet at Town Center Park in Santee at Cuyamaca St. and River Park Drive.
